Attorney Jeffrey Sexton has over 19 years of experience as and has litigated approximately 1900 personal injury cases. Before Mr. Sexton became an attorney, he worked as an insurance claims adjuster and also a health care risk manager. These positions gave the Attorney valuable experiences that he is now able to apply to getting injured clients the best possible compensation.
In 1981, Jeffrey Sexton received a Bachelor of Arts with a Sociology major with concentration in Social Services. He then received a Master of Science degree in Sociology in 1983. From 1984 to 1986, Mr. Sexton worked as the Director of Volunteer Services and Risk Manager at Humana Hospital Lucerne. In 1986 Jeffrey then moved to Tampa, Florida to pursue a position as a medical malpractice insurance adjuster working on behalf of hospitals and then Physicians. He attended law school at Memphis State University, graduating with a Juris Doctorate degree in 1992. Attorney Sexton remained in Memphis for a year after graduating from law school to work as a law clerk for a Federal Magistrate, the Honorable James H. Allen. In 1993 Jeffrey began work as a plaintiff’s personal injury lawyer for a firm in Orlando. In 1995 Mr. Sexton left that firm to begin work at a firm which he eventually purchased in 1996 and is known as Jeffrey B. Sexton, P.A.
